Hog, I think you blew it. In today's society, with everybody blaming their problems on someone or something else, I think even an incompetent attorney could win your wife's case.
After all, you admitted to not giving her proper instructions on towing. Remember the woman who sued Macdonald's because she burned herself with hot coffee and WON 3/4 of a million dollars? Now there's a warning on the cup that hot coffee can burn you. Unbelievable, isn't it?
In your wife's case, what made you think that she would know enough to stop when you did? Don't assume anything in this day and age. Believe me I should know...I teach junior high.
